Collection Development
Mahatma Gandhi college library is one of the older and largest college libraries in the rural area under the jurisdiction of Nanded University. It has rich collection of near about 86 thousand book and also available 3 thousand bound volumes of journals and periodicals. Every section is carefully equipped with books which are of use to students and faculty members specializing in different subjects. Library subscribes 78 national and international journals. Non-print material in its collection comprises a number of CDs as accompanying material many books in CD format and latest multimedia edition ‘Encyclopedia of standards’ Atlas of India and dictionary is available in CD format. Veer savarkar 61 E-Books available in the library. And also available UGC Inflibnet program of N-List E-Rescores 75000 E-book, 5000 E-Journals access to student and faculties

Library Services
Being a service oriented department, library gives valuable services to its users.
1.Lending of Books :-
Library extends its lending facilities to all types of members i.e 1 to 4 books were issued at a time to the students for seven days period with no limits while fifteen books are issued to staff with no time limits.
Book Bank Scheme :-
Library provides book bank facilities to the scolar students for the period of one year.
Periodical Back volumes lending:-
The old issue of the periodicals are bounded and kept as bound volumes. They are also issued to teachers and research scholars. Some current Journals and periodicals are available to read in the library.
Question Paper Services:-
The old five years question papers of all the courses and all the examination papers are available in the library. It is useful for faculty members and students also.
Ready Reference service :-
Library provides ready reference desk, The popular encyclopedia and some other dictionaries are kept for ready reference to the library users.
Useful for Ex-Students Ex-Teachers membership :-
The library not only caters its present students but also ex-students of the college also and wishes to continue the studies from distance education and preparing for the competitive exams ex-teaching staff enjoys reading material after their retirement.

- College prospects :-
There is inclusion of sufficient information about the library, its rules and regulations in the college prospect.
New Books Arrival :-
The new books which have been purchased by the library are displayed After one week. The list of new books, their covers are to be displayed after its arrival in display board.
News Paper Clipping :-
Displaying newspaper clippings and their files are maintained yearly. Its Bound volumes are available in the library for last 20 years.
Statics Boards :-
The useful statics regarding library are displayed on the library walls and well maintained.
- Suggestion Box :-
As students have to face many problems and difficulties there is suggestion box which is kept in Library to write chits and their suggestions which are helpful to get user feedback and to improve library services.
- Help Corner for Students :-
At the time of admission, students need to fill up many forms like admission form, membership form, so they need some equipments such as Stick steplizer, pinstiks. These help corners help them to get these equipment easily which are provided through help corners.
Book Exhibitions on important occasions :-
On the occasion like birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi books exhibitions are organized. Books and reading materials are available and kept open for 12 hours.

Computerization status
- Soul software version 2.0 is in use for library. The database is Computerized with bar-coding of books.

Internet facility (internet Lab. provided 15 pc)
- student and teachers can available facility to use CD-ROM, DVD in the library.
They can access the internet in the library, Assistance and librarian’s guidance in search is provided if required.
