Department of Computer Science at a Glance:
The department of Computer Science was established from the academic year 1991-92. The Subject Computer Science was introduced in our college as a optional subject at the B.Sc. level. Taking into consideration the series of new electronic based innovations in the field of higher education and the advancement of the information Technology, in all fields we started professionals and job oriented courses namely Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and B.Sc (Computer Science) from the academic year 2000-01. There was no post graduate computer science in this distics. Therefore by taking into consideration the need of this region, we started M.Sc.(Computer Science) course from the academic year 1999-2000

5.Class Tests, Seminars and Group Discussions:-
We have arranged seminars group discussions and internal tests for the students of B.Sc. , BCA , B.Sc.(CS) and M.Sc.(CS) Project work and seminars are included by the university as a part of Curricular for the students of of B.Sc., B.C.A.,B.Sc.(CS) and M.Sc (CS) So accordingly we have arranged project work seminars and group discussion for these classes. Two internal tests for B.Sc. , BCA, B.Sc.(CS) students are conducted semester wise on completed syllabi.
6.Students Qualified for MBA/MCA etc:-
The final year students of B.C.A. B.Sc.(C.S.) are prepared to face MBA and MCA entrance examinations Every year 40 percent of the student will qualify for MBA/MCA courses, 40 percent for other P.G. courses and 20 percent of the students will join the job after completing their B.C.A B.Sc.(C.S.) courses.
Academic Year 2017-2018:-
Yashwant Mahavidyalaya, Nanded has organized “IT Festival”on 25 & 26 Sept. 2017. All the students under S.R.T.M. University Nanded have participated in the activities of “IT Festival”. Mr. Ubed Shaikh studying in B.Sc.(CS) SY. has participated in “IT Festival for “MCQ” Exam” activity and he got 2nd Prize.
