4. Brief History of the Department:

Department of Commerce is established in the year 1969. Shri R. B. Gore joined the department as lecturer in the year 1969 and initially he was the Head of the Department and he left the department in the year 1991.

Shri N. D. Mundhe joined the department in the year 1971 as lecturer and he was worked as HoD from 1991 to 2009 and he was retired in 2009.

Shri S. T. Nalbale joined the department in 1973 as lecture and he passed away in the year 1992.

Shri L. K. Gatcharle joined the department in 1975 as lecturer and passed away in the year 2007.

Dr. S. K. Khillare and Shri S. R. Shelke joined the department in the year 1992 as lecturer. At present there are two full time faculty are working in the department and both are Associate Professors. Dr. S. K. Khillare is working as Head of the department.

Faculty on Clock Hour Basis (CHB):- Shri N. B. Kale, Shri V. V. Swami and Dr V. P. Shelke joined the department as assistant professor on Clock Hour Basis in the year 2009. Shri V. V. Swami left the department in January 2013  and Shri N. B. Kale left the department in January 2014.

Shri N. M. Gutte and Shri B. S. Kshirsagar joined the department in the year 2013 and Shri S. J. Waghmare and Miss. S. S. Jagtap joined the department in the year 2014. At present there are three faculty on CHB & two faculty on fix pay in the department.

6. ABOUT HoD:- S. K. Khillare is working as Head of the department from 2009. He is recognized research guide and 9 research fellow are working under his guidance. He has been awarded Best Joint Chief Superintendent (JCS) by S.R.T.M.U. Nanded. He has attended 26 International / National / State level Conferences, Seminars and Workshops etc. He is working as Senate member, faculty member & member of BoS in commerce faculty of S.R.T.M.U. Nanded. He has been presented research paper as well as worked as Chairperson of a technical session in International conference held at Macau (China). He has been awarded “Swami Vivekananda International Educational Award – 2014” by World Human Rights Council.
